This is a good video on how to set parental controls for Discord to keep your child safe.

During invitation to the server you will need to temporarily allow some of these settings in order to receive an invite from me to the private server. After you have accepted the invite to the private server please go back into the settings and turn all the settings you would like on so your child is protected from anything outside our server.

Recommended Settings to be active on our private server:

• Under “Privacy & Safety” you will need to allow direct messages from others so change this to “Show.” This is temporary. Once you are in the server please change this back to “Block” to ensure the safety of your child on Discord outside of our server.

• Under “Privacy & Safety” you will need to allow server channel messages so change this to “Show.” This will need to remain allowed in order to be able to communicate in the chat on our private server.

• Under “Friend Requests” you will need to allow friend requests from “Everyone” to be friended by DM Amethyst so you can be invited to the server. This is temporary. Once you are in the server you can change this back to “Block” to ensure the safety of your child on Discord outside of our server. If you would like to allow your child to receive friend requests from kids from our server you can change this setting to “server members.”

• If you would like to allow your child to direct message with friends from the server please set the “Direct messages from friends” to “Show.” This will allow your child to message privately with anyone they have friended in Discord.
